, delivered a presentation to Vietnamese Wood, Furniture and Handicraft Manufacturers and Suppliers at the Sheraton Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on May 31st, 2012.

Mr. Gadd spoke on how Vietnamese Suppliers could maximize their potential in attracting foreign buyers in the Housewares Industry. Vietnam B2B Direct currently represents the International Housewares Association, Chicago USA www.housewares.org, an exhibitor recruitment for the upcoming International Home + Housewares Show – March 2-5, 2013. Also, Mr. Gadd in the past had organized 3 Sourcing Trade Missions to Vietnam with Housewares’ Members who now currently manufacture numerous products in Vietnam for export.

Mr. Gadd emphasized that Wood, Furniture and Handicraft Manufacturers of Vietnam could compete with China and other Asian countries in manufacturing particularly with Vietnamese furniture, wood and handicraft products and stated that not only was low cost manufacturing pricing important but there were other governing factors that made Vietnam manufacturing so attractive.

The Seminar was sponsored by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (VCCI), Dun & Bradstreet, FedEx and Ace Insurance. Mr. Vo Truong Thanh, Chairman – Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA) and Chairman of Vietnam’s largest furniture company –Truong Thanh Furniture Group provided the opening speech with encouraging remarks regarding the strong growth in the Vietnam Furniture Industry.
